Most people don’t know much about Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), even though it is part of the largest government insurance program in the United States. For people facing chronic illness and disability, understanding SSDI and its impact on health, insurance, future employment, finances and retirement income is essential.
This presentation will present the good aspects of SSDI, discuss some of the “bad news” regarding SSDI and explore some of the “ugly” truths––and ways to minimize their impact on your application.
The webinar is intended for people who have questions about SSDI, individuals who cannot work for 12 months or more due to a disability, and their families. Also, people who work with people with disabilities.
PRESENTER: Tai Venuti, MPH, Allsup manager of Strategic Alliances. Tai previously managed national public health campaigns for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
