This webinar will provide information about how to work effectively with state agencies and Medicaid under a managed care system including how to be your own best advocate for quality measures for people with disabilities such as consumer choice and consumer-directed service; and access to timely and appropriate services and supports including housing options. In a managed care delivery system, people get most or all of their Medicaid services from an organization under contract with the state. These managed care organizations agree to provide certain Medicaid benefits to people in exchange for a monthly payment from the state.
