*The New Beginning is a nationwide initiative that empowers individuals to overcome the wide-range of challenges that accompany living with SCI/D. The BackPack serves to help people find quality healthcare and resources; employment opportunities and education; choose the proper adaptive equipment and home modifications; locate peer support groups; and find a new beginning. NSCIA is distributing backpacks to people newly injured or diagnosed that are leaving hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.
