Support Groups

NSCIA Support Groups provide peer to peer support for individuals, friends and family members. Our list of affiliated support groups is constantly growing so please check back if you can’t find one in your area.

About Support Groups
In a support group, members provide each other with various types of help for shared purposes. The help can take the form of providing and evaluating relevant information, relating personal experiences, listening to and accepting others’ experiences, educating and guiding, or for providing sympathetic understanding and establishing social networks. Support Groups may each have their own way of accomplishing their mission but all of them share the same goal of improving the lives of participants.

About Spinal Network
spinal-network-logoUnited Spinal Association and The Buoniconti Fund have teamed up to create a national network of peer support groups called the “Spinal Network” to set higher standards in assisting people living with spinal cord injuries and disorders (SCI/D). The goal of the Spinal Network is to ensure more peer support groups in cities and towns across the United States are connected to the very best resources to help people with SCI/D maintain independent and active lifestyles. Please visit the Spinal Network website to learn more.
