LOS ANGELES - The glee club members twirl their wheelchairs to the tune of "Proud Mary" and in joyful solidarity with Artie, the fellow performer who must use his chair even when the music stops.The scene in Wednesday's episode of the hit Fox series "Glee," which regularly celebrates diversity and the underdog, is yet another uplifting moment - except to those in the entertainment industry with disabilities and their advocates.

Brain-Twitter project offers hope to paralyzed patients
Adam Wilson posted two messages on Twitter on April 15. The first one, "GO BADGERS," might have been sent by any University of Wisconsin-Madison student cheering for the school team. His second post, 20 minutes later, was a little more unusual: "SPELLING WITH MY BRAIN." Wilson, a doctoral student in biomedical engineering, was confirming an announcement he had made two weeks earlier -- his lab had developed a way to post messages on Twitter using electrical impulses generated by thought.
Center for Self-Determination asks CMS to Rise to the Challenge of Medicaid Transformation
Recently the Center for Self-Determination issued a Bi-Partisan Call to Transform Medicaid. Since that time, supporter signatures have been collected on the Center's website. To date, almost 1400 signatures have been collected, but more are needed.
