It has been just over two years since NSCIA became the membership division of United Spinal Association and chapter growth is at an all-time high.
Four new chapters have recently signed on to expand the organization’s coverage. New chapters in Tennessee, Madison, Wisc., California and Scranton, Penn., bring the total count to 32 chapters nationwide according to Nick LiBassi, the director of special projects for United Spinal.
“Now that we’ve had some time since the organizations merged, we realize that we have many areas of the country that are not represented by chapters, and we’re actively working to make sure that we start chapters in those areas and give them resources at the local level,” he says.
LiBassi and the United Spinal staff work directly with aspiring chapters to get them off the ground and running. LiBassi says many other interested parties have contacted NSCIA and he expects the chapter growth to continue.
